Before planning a sample menu is detail, one should mention the general foods which are to be avoided and preferred according to the condition. This makes food selection while planning menu, easier. For example, in liver diseases- Food avoided- fried foods, organ meat, red meat, egg yolk, whole pulses, fibre rich cereals, extra salt and baking soda, preserved foods and foods containing salts like papads, chutney and pickles.
